Stay with what’s precious
Stay with what’s present
I’m River Kenna
Writer • Journey Artist • Hedge Yogi
I help people craft their lives towards more wholehearted ways of being.
This means more embodiment, presence, attunement, and openness to unconscious wisdom. It means being more “right hemisphere”-y. Really, it means a more soulful, poetic, & magical life.
It means stepping out of the finite games of status, power, and convenience — and stepping up to meet the infinite ambitions of soul, of aliveness, of metis.

Writing
A few of my favorite pieces I’ve written over the years, some of which are collected in my book, We’re Here to Renew the Sacred:
Interviews & Talks
I’ve been on some podcasts, given some presentations, had some conversations; here’s where you can get a sense of where I’ve been (though honestly, most of these are from a very different stage of my work)
Curious Humans episode with Jonny Miller: “Overcoming the Inner-Critic, Reclaiming Aliveness & Learning Somatic Intuition with River Kenna”
My talk on The Stoa, “Mythopoetic Cognition is the Engine of Mind.”
Podcast interviews on Becoming Creature, Deep Dive, and Elevating Consciousness.
Talks with Rosa Lewis on my YouTube channel, about Money & Wholeheartedness, as well as Mystic Retreats.
Patronage
Two of my highest values are Creativity and Generosity — so it feels right that I not only live by both, but that I also make my living by both.
I create things — writing, courses, journeys & 1:1 ritual containers — and I either charge or invite exchange for them, depending on the situation.
I am generous with my time, skills, knowledge, money, and resources, whenever possible, allowing them to flow wherever they’re needed and of service. And I invite generosity, when patrons feel driven to support this work and make sure it can continue.
